Summertime superfood cocktails

I could just say, “don’t drink.” However, something tells me that not quite everybody would listen… so instead, I’m giving you a few options to mix superfoods into your summertime beverages. (Remember: moderation is key… except with chips and guac. Then, moderation just isn’t within the realm of reality.)

Chia seeds and you can even add some coconut shavings to keep it really tropical.

1.5 oz. mezcal

1 oz. aperol

1 oz. fresh pineapple juice

1 spoonful of hydrated chia seeds

ice

(Prior to making the drink: hydrate the chia seeds in cold water, one part chia and four parts water, then let rest for 10 minutes to soften)

Another drink to mix with your chips and guac.

2 tsp honey

1 tbsp hot water

(mix together honey and hot water)

Then add:

1 tsp matcha powder (sifted)

You’ve got to have something to go with the chips and guac, right?

Recipe

1 cup of fresh blueberries

2 oz. lime juice

5 oz. tequila (silver)

3 oz. triple sec

blueberry salt for the rim

& ice!

6 oz ginger kombucha

2 oz vodka

1 tsp agave or honey

Juice of one lime

ice

& copper cup
